THE EUREKA WIGGLER

The Eureka Wiggler, AKA The Coldwater Wiggler, was created and patented by Sam Larrabee of Coldwater Michigan in 1914. This was the world’s first “Sonic Lure”. It was designed with a large oval mouth breaking into two small passages, like a “Y”, leading to two small dorsal exit holes. One passage on the right and one on the left and one slightly ahead of the other, so that as the line is retrieved water passes through the lure and it  wiggles from side to side.

Another interesting feature was the Crackle Back finish in squiggly lines designed to resemble fish scales. Two very unique features.

All lures com in an attractive wood presentation box with a written history and a copy of the patent drawing.
