THE JITTERBUG

One of the most recognizable lure names in the world The Jitterbug was created by Fred Arbogast of Akron, Ohio in the 1930's and patented in 1940. Unlike the classic popper the Jitterbug has a double cupped lip at the front which produces a melodic noise that drives bass and game fish nuts. Made in several sizes over the years from the 1 1/2" .15 oz jittermouse to the 4 1/2" 1.15 oz muskie lure and in dozens of color patterns. Jitterbugs classics before WW II were made of wood, during the war the manufacture switched to plastic.

All lures come in an attractive wood presentation box with a written history and a copy of the patent drawing.
